PANORAMIC X-RAYS

Find out the extent of the damage to all your teeth with a panoramic x-ray

Panoramic x-rays remain a brilliant way to identify major problems throughout your entire mouth, all in one go.

It can be useful for a dentist to get an overview of the damage areas before analyzing specific areas in more detail with other types of x-rays.

A great aspect of the panoramic x-ray as opposed to other x-rays is that film doesn’t have to be placed in the mouth. The panoramic film is instead contained in the x-ray machine, which then rotates around the patient’s head, getting a broader look at the patient’s mouth.

Panoramic x-rays can help to identify cavities and gum disease, but are also used to evaluate wisdom teeth and identify less common problems as well. Other applications for the panoramic x-ray include evaluating patients preparing for dental implants or fillings.

Your dental check-ups with us are important, and panoramic x-rays are an important step in identifying whether or not further work is needed.
