FREE SECONDARY SCHOOL DENTISTRY

Up until the age of 18, dentistry in New Zealand is free for children and secondary schoolers.
Here at The Centre of Dental Excellence dentistry is free for adolescents from Year 9(form 3) up until the age of 18years whether they are attending a learning institution or not.
This can cover a range of different services such as:
Extractions: Removal of decayed or infected teeth
Fillings: Flouride or other material fillings for cavities caused by tooth decay
Periodontics: Treatment of gum disease and infection
X-Rays: Examination and analysis of damage to teeth and gums.
Hygiene Services: Maintenance good practice of oral hygiene care.
Dentures: If students have lost teeth or partial teeth for whatever reason, then denture procedures may be essential for restoration.

Aside from the procedural side of our business, our dental professionals can also assist in educating children and secondary school students in good dental habits such as brushing teeth twice a day, flossing, eating healthily and general dental care at home.
