Restorative dentistry refers to the management of oral health problems to help your teeth do their job and look good.
This begins with a regular check-up - usually recommended annually or every six months to keep an eye on your teeth and any issues that might be developing. During your check-up your dentist will look at your gum health and check the condition of each tooth. We may take digital X-rays to provide a clearer picture of any issues. If any problems are found it may be possible to treat them during your appointment. If not another appointment will be made for further treatment.
Restorative dentistry will try to preserve your natural teeth but where this is not possible crowns or implants may be used. Centre of Dental Excellence provides a range of restorative services including fillings, crowns and bridges as well as implants.
